Welcome Committee

Mission Statement

First impressions are lasting ones. The greeters' mission is to provide a genuinely warm and friendly welcome to all visitors to our church, especially initial ones. We provide information about our church and our faith and gather information about visitors that helps our staff, Assimilating Committee and others facilitate the integration of newcomers into the fabric of our religious community.

Specifically, the committee:

  • Recruits, trains and schedules greeters to welcome visitors every Sunday morning.
  • Provides information about our church to newcomers via attractive welcome packets.
  • Ensures newcomers receive monthly newsletters and frequent email communication.
  • Hosts information for a on Membership Sundays.
  • Maintains Sunday worship attendance records.
  • Provides list of regular visitors for New UU class facilitators to invite.
