Current News

Ever wish you could go back and re-do your prom experience now that you're finally as cool as you thought you were in high school??  Well, get ready to break out those dancing shoes!!  The first ever UUCB Prom will be Saturday, September 17th from 6:30 – 10 pm (the date has moved from June 4th).  Hors-d'oeuvres will begin at 6:30, and the band will start up around 7.  There will be plenty of food, drink, corsages, and even a real photographer to capture those Prom memories.

We need your help to plan it!!  We are forming a Prom Committee to be sure this is your most memorable prom ever!  Interested in helping?  Contact Anthony Hamley at ahamley25@gmail.com.

We are pre-selling tickets for $30 per person.  If interested in buying a ticket now, contact Susan Cockrell, Martie Clifton, Diane Tucker, or Anthony Hamley.  All proceeds from the UUCB Prom will go to making UUCB a UUA/MSD "Fair Share" congregation.

From the Strategic Planning Council

Dear UUCB Members,

The 2011-12 Strategic Planning Council Taskforce has been busily laying the framework for a reinstituted Strategic Planning Council at UUCB.  The SPC is a necessary group in our church to help all of us at UUCB do some forward thinking about where our church is going.  Where and/or whom do we want to be in 1 year?  5 years?  10 years?

If you are one who has the vision to see where UUCB can be in the future and the initiative to lead UUCB to that vision, I hope you'll consider becoming a group leader.

I look forward to hearing from you,

Winn Chatham, SPC Taskforce Chair

Moving? Already Moved?

If you want to maintain contact with the church, please contact our office administrator and let her know your address or other contact information. We'd like to keep in touch!

Just like the government, or the United Nations, or probably many of your own workplaces, our church has its own share of "alphabet soup" acronyms.
