Worship Services

Worship services, featuring meaningful sermons and joyful music, are offered each Sunday morning at 10:30 AM. The first portion of our service includes a “Time for All Ages,” and Kindergardeners and up are invited to attend this portion of the service, followed by Religious Education classes downstairs. Childcare is available in our Nursery from 10:15 am until shortly after the service, and preschoolers can get settled in their classes downstairs from 10:20 am.

Family Room Available During Services?

Our Family Room is a place where families with young children can listen to the service over the loudspeaker while having the freedom to move, make noise, or chat with others.  This is often a spot where nursing mothers gather, and occasionally, there is a family with an older child in this room. You will find the Family Room across the Narthex in the Pickett Room.

Changing tables are available in both the women’s and men’s restrooms upstairs, and also in the Nursery and one of the restrooms downstairs. Across from the preschool room downstairs is a child-sized potty for toddlers and preschoolers.

We also ask parents who have their children in the Nursery downstairs to sit at the back of the Sanctuary with your cell phones on vibrate in case we need to come get you for any reason.

How do I get involved in planning and leading worship services?

Worship services are planned by the Worship Partners Committee! If you have ideas or would like to help lead, attend a committee meeting on the second Sunday of the month at 9 am in the minister’s office. Your comments and suggestions for services are also greatly welcome and appreciated.

What about announcements?

Church announcements are placed in the order of service by our administrator. Please email announcements by Wednesday at noon or give them to the service leader at least 15 minutes before the service.

What is Share the Plate?

On the second Sunday of each month, you may notice we do things a little different with our offering — we share the plate! This program was was established in our congregation in 2006. The Justice Committee selects an organization with similar values as ours, and that Sunday’s plate donations go straight to that organization.
